Terms & Conditions of Bookings

We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract. Please telephone to make a reservation. A credit/debit card may be used to guarantee the booking, otherwise a non-refundable deposit of £30 per person is to be paid. No reservation is accepted unless confirmed orally or in writing/email by The Whitehall.

If you have to cancel your reservation for whatever reason, or fail to turn up, the right is reserved to make a cancellation charge as follows:

  • Over 60 days - no charge
  • 29 - 59 days - 30%
  • 15 - 28 days - 45%
  • 0 - 14 days - 100%.

In the event that we are able to let the rooms you have booked, we will make allowances on a pro-rata basis, but an administration charge will be levied.


Some guests wish to bring their pet(s) with them. We appreciate this and we have one room suitable for pet owners that opens directly on to the parking area at the rear of the hotel.

Because of allergy sufferers and for health reasons pets are not allowed in the public areas of the hotel. Pets often feel stress in strange circumstances and we do not permit guests to leave pets alone in the room.

We have a short note about you bringing pets to stay with us. Please ask for this by either mail or email.
